Baldwin Campaign War Chest Filling Up

7/13/17 – U-S Senator Tammy Baldwin puts her Republican challengers on notice, by raising what she calls a statewide record for campaign cash in the off year before a major election. Baldwin’s campaign says it has taken in four-point-seven million dollars from January through June, including two-point-five million since March. As of June 30th, the Democrat Baldwin has almost four-million dollars in the bank, and her camp has not said yet who the donors are. Among the Republicans considering a run against Baldwin next year are 2012 candidate Eric Hovde, state lawmakers Leah Vukmir and Dale Kooyenga, Marine veteran Kevin Nicholson and State Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald of Juneau.
