Here’s a look at Thursday night’s action in the Badgerland Summer High School Baseball League
Waupun 11 Watertown 1 – 5 innings
Waupun jumped on Watertown with four runs in the bottom of the 1st and never looked back in an 11-1 win at Gus Thompson Field on Thursday night. Waupun added three more in the 2nd, two in the 3rd and ended the game early with two more in the bottom of the 5th. Brayden Sanders went 2×3 with a pair of RBI, while Baron Buchholz also went 2×3 with an RBI. Austin Wiese also collected a couple of hits for Waupun. John Clifford drove in Watertown’s only run of the game with an RBI double in the top of the 4th. Ayden Schauer and Caleb Hinkes added Watertown’s only other hits on the night. Brayden Sanders went the distance for Waupun, giving up just one run and three hits to go along with seven strikeouts to earn the win. Watertown (0-2) will host Beaver Dam on Monday night at 5pm while Waupun (4-1) heads to Mayville on Monday with the 1st pitch set for 7pm.
Hartford 16 Randolph 7
Kenton Regnerus led Randolph (0-1) at the plate going 3×4 with a double, 3 RBI and 1 run scored, Caden Spors went 1×1 with 2 walks and 2 runs scored and Ryan O’Donnell went 1×2 with a double. Randolph will travel to Waupun on Tuesday night. The first pitch is set for 6:30pm
Brownsville 8 Beaver Dam JV 7
-Logan Thomas’ two-out inside the park home run in the top of the 7th to gave BD the lead, but Brownsville scored a pair on the bottom of the frame for the walk-off win.
