Authorities Seek Video Of Johnson Creek Shooting

7/14/17 – Authorities in Jefferson County are asking the public for any video footage they may have of an incident Tuesday in Johnson Creek that resulted in police shooting a carjacker after a high-speed chase.  The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the noon hour incident that started in Waukesha County. The subject, who was naked, stole a vehicle at gunpoint at a park and ride lot in Pewaukee; that victim was not injured. A Delafield police officer later saw the stolen car leave Interstate 94, and get back on — and then a 25-mile chase began westward into Jefferson County where officers used tire spikes to slow down the carjacked vehicle, which veered off the freeway at Johnson Creek. Sheriff’s officials say the man ran toward the Arby’s Restaurant at 650 West Linmar Lane just off Highway 26. The subject ignored orders to stop, and was then shot by the Delafield officer and a Waukesha County sheriff’s deputy. Jefferson County Sheriff’s Detective Ryan McIntyre says any efforts to assist in the investigation are appreciated.
