Authorities Release Photo Of Suspect In Columbus Cenex Robbery

(Columbus) Authorities have released a photo of the suspect who robbed the Cenex gas station in Columbus on Monday, January 13. It happened around 10:20pm, after the business was closed, when the masked man forced his way into the business at 501 Park Avenue.

Police Lieutenant Darrell Ward says the suspect displayed a handgun and threatened the clerk, warning her not contact law enforcement. He fled south toward Kiwanis Park with an undisclosed amount of cash in a green bank bag.

Ward says the investigation is ongoing the department continues to seek any information from the public that they feel may help in the case. He is asking anyone who recognizes the suspect in the case contact the police department.

The suspect is described as a white male, wearing a dark blue full zip-up hoodie, dark-colored pants and a stocking cap.
