Authorities Release Names In Mondays Fatal Semi Collision

(Fox Lake) Authorities have released the names of the drivers involved in a fatal accident involving two semi-trucks in the Town of Fox Lake Monday morning. Wayne Hildebrandt of Watertown was operating a Peterbilt truck that jackknifed in the eastbound lanes of Highway 33 near County A around 10am. The 73-year-old’s trailer crossed the centerline and struck a westbound Mack truck driven by Perry Hoitink of Oostburg. The 60-year-old Hoitink was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner. Hildebrandt suffered life threatening injuries and was flown from the scene by Flight for Life helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison. The crash, which closed Highway 33 for six hours, remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol and the Dodge County Medical Examiner.
