She is a 3 year old 39lb American Staffordshire Terrier mix, she is currently searching for her forever home at the Dodge County Humane Society. Ariel and her 2 puppies were removed from their home in Texas by the Houston SPCA due to cruelty/abuse. After some much needed TLC this girl is ready for her new life full of nothing but love. Due to Ariel’s past they believe she would do best in a home with older children. She tends to get spooked by fast movements. Ariel did live in foster with older children and did good with them. She also seems to warm up to women faster and eventually warms up to men. Ariel would also do best in an active home as she does have quite a bit of energy and loves to play. She enjoys the company of other dogs no matter their size. Although she can play a little rough with smaller dogs and may upset them. She is still working on her basic obedience as well and would benefit from training classes. Ariel is crate trained and still working on her house training. Her foster said she is getting better at signaling when she needs to go outside. She LOVES toys the squeakier the better is her motto. Ariel also LOVES her humans. Once she builds trust and relationship with you then you have a best friend for life. All this sweet girl needs is a family that will understand where she came from and will be patient with her. Ariel is still learning that she doesn’t have to ever worry about being hurt again. You can visit her any Tuesday or Thursday from 12-7pm. As well as Saturdays from 12-4pm at the Dodge County Humane Society.
