Two Area Players Earn At-Large Bids To State Girls Tennis Tourney

A pair of area tennis players earned at large bids to the WIAA State Girls Tennis Meet later this week.   Watertown’s Aubrey Schmutzler (12-5) received and at large bid to the Division One singles tournament and will face Izzy Brinkman (14-8) of New Richmond in a 1st round match Thursday at 10:30am.  In Division Two, Waupun’s Alysa Pattee (9-2) received an at-large entry and will face Alexa Robarge (8-8) of Rice Lake in her opening match at 10:30am Thursday.

The WIAA State Girls Tennis Tournament is being held in Kohler this year because the Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison is not available because of high COVID-19 activity in Madison.
