We reported last week about a Publishers Clearing House scam making the rounds in the Beaver Dam area. Another attempt was reported to authorities on Monday only this time, the caller swore and called the intended victim names. Deputy Police Chief Dan Schubert says in past instances, the caller said that they won an $86,000 Third Prize in a random drawing. Before they could collect the winnings, they were told to send $200 to Publishers Clearing House by Western Union. Schubert says you should never have to send money to anyone to claim a prize.
