Annette was born on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, 1963, at St. Joseph Hospital in Beaver Dam, WI, to Raymond E. and Victoria A. (Kraus) Schrab. She grew up on the family dairy farm with 7 brothers and 2 sisters and graduated from Dodgeland High School in Juneau. Annette attended the Minneapolis College of Art & Design and the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, then completed an Associate Degree in Interior Design from the Madison Area Technical College. This ultimately led to Cozy Kitchens, her own kitchen design business. Annette was passionate about art in various forms, being an inspired painter, photographer, sculptor, and poet. In recent years, Annette helped a local florist and continued pursuing her passion for art. Her paintings were donated to various causes and displayed at the Portage Center for the Arts.

On July 15, 1989, Annette was united in marriage with Tim Clark at Trinity Lutheran Church in Reeseville, WI. She loved being a mom and spending time in nature. As her son Clint grew, Annette loved having the house full with Clint and his friends. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she volunteered as a Sunday school teacher for several years. More recently she gave back to the community by volunteering at various organizations. Annette advocated for Wisconsin state mental health legislation due to her own struggles with mental illnesses and depression.
