Alliant Energy Named A Top Utility In Economic Development

(Beaver Dam) Alliant Energy was recently named a Top Utility in Economic Development. The annual list, in Site Selection’s magazine, recognizes companies for their contributions to community development and job creation. It is the third year in a row that Alliant Energy was listed. Site Selection credits the utility for delivering more than $906-million-dollars in new capital investment and more than 22-hundred new jobs in 2020. Alliant Energy’s 10 Wisconsin-based projects alone account for nearly $327-million in capital investment and created 730 jobs. The company is one of 20 nationally named to the list and one of two on the list in the state. President of Alliant Energy Wisconsin David de Leon says they appreciate the recognition of their efforts as Alliant Energy helped bring more than 30 new industrial and warehouse projects across Iowa and Wisconsin to life in the last year. He says these projects are a direct impact for building stronger communities.
