(Dodge County) Several area non-profits are benefiting from a recent Alliant Energy Foundation grant. The grant is geared towards helping support local families, education, and environmental initiatives that help residents in areas serviced by Alliant Energy. This year the foundation awarded 145 grants totaling over $329 thousand dollars, with more than $33 thousand going to non-profits in and around Dodge county.
In Beaver Dam, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Council of Dodge County received $1000 for use in the Dodge County food pantry. The FFA of Randolph received $1200 to help expand service to area food banks. While the Cities of Fox Lake and Juneau Each received $1000 that they plan to utilize for city park revitalization and new playground equipment.
Executive Director of the Alliant Energy Foundation Julie Bauer says recipients represent so many wonderful groups who work to make life better in our state. She says the investments support their crucial activities that make a difference for families, education, and the environment in the area.
