Allenton Man Receives Jail Time For Sexual Assault Outside Lomira Tavern

(Lomira) An Allenton man received jail time Monday for sexually assaulting a woman outside a Lomira tavern. In July, David Sauer plead no contest to an amended charge of Third Degree Sexual Assault. Sauer’s sentence was withheld and he was placed on probation for four years. As a condition of his probation, the 61-year-old was ordered to serve a year in jail. Last October, a sheriff’s office deputy was dispatched to Rock the House Tavern. The victim told law enforcement she was alone in a smoking room attached to the business when Sauer approached her and assaulted her. The woman said she believed Sauer to be intoxicated during the incident. When questioned, Sauer agreed with some of the victim’s statements but added if he did anything more it must of have been (quote) “subconsciously.”  He also denied being drunk.
