(BEAVER DAM) No one seems to be showing any interest in representing District Six on the Beaver Dam City Council. The southeast side district has been without representation since Ken Anderson resigned in early September. City leaders posted the position last month, but on Sunday afternoon, Mayor Bobbi Marck told Daily Dodge that no one had stepped forward.
The Common Council meets Monday night. Marck says alders can either extend the deadline or vote to leave the seat vacant until the next election in April. Some alders say it may be time to consider a smaller city council with fewer aldermanic districts. That’s an idea that has been mentioned in the past.
