Alan M. Blada

Alan M. Blada, age 65, formerly of Beaver Dam, died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at his home in Arlington, Washington.

The memorial gathering will be a Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home on Thursday, March 19, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The memorial service will follow at the funeral home on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Cherie Forret officiating. Inurnment will be at St. Peter Cemetery at a later date.

Alan Michael Blada was born on May 26, 1954 in Beaver Dam to Wesley and Nancy (Horton) Blada. He attended Beaver Dam schools and graduated with the class of 1972. Alan moved to Washington and earned a Horticulture degree from Edmonds Community College. He spent the next 45 years beautifying the Seattle area with his indoor and outdoor gardens. Alan just officially retired last year. He was a caretaker to all animals; whatever it was, he gave it a home. Alan had skunks, raccoons, geese, parrots, and even a timber wolf. He will be remembered for his ability to see the beauty in all of God’s creations and some may remember him for his long hair, ponytail, and beard.

Alan is survived by his brother, Mark Blada of Montello; niece, Michelle Blada of Madison and her daughter, Brielle; nephew, Dalton (Courtney) Payne of Chilton and their children, Pirelli and Cash; aunts and uncle, Ronald and Evelyn Blada of Montello, June Blada of Neshkoro, and Judith Blada of Coloma; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; aunts and uncles.
