(Beaver Dam) Monday night’s Beaver Dam Common Council meeting had to be rescheduled because the date for the video conference link on the agenda was wrong. Because proper notification was not given to the public, the state Open Meetings Law leaves very little wiggle room. The council was to consider an incentives package that would have given the Heritage Village Mall up to $800-thousand TIF dollars to supplement a $4-million dollar restructuring that will pave the way for three new retailers. Marshalls, Ross Dress For Less and Five Below are in negotiations for a ten year lease at the mall. The city’s Administrative and Operations committees did meet Monday. Operations advanced a landscape project at the corner of Front and Center streets. Admin received an update on funding for the city’s 2020 borrowing plan. The new meeting date for the common council is tentatively set for this Wednesday, June 3.
