ADRC Of Dodge County Highlighting Upcoming Chronic Health Conditions Workshop

(Juneau) The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Dodge County is highlighting an upcoming workshop for people with chronic health conditions. The Living Well with Chronic Conditions helps participants with lifelong health conditions experience less pain, have more energy, and fewer hospitalizations.

The workshops are for adults of all ages who have a chronic disease. Chronic diseases include diabetes, arthritis, HIV/AIDS, high blood pressure, depression, heart disease, chronic pain, anxiety, multiple sclerosis, among many others. ADRC officials say there’s a significant need for support for people with chronic diseases, which the CDC calls the most common, costly, and preventable of all U.S. health problems. They are also the leading causes of death and disability, responsible for seven out of ten deaths each year.

The workshops are offered at the Dodge County Human Services and Health Department building located at 199 County Road DF in Juneau. It runs from April 6 to May 11 between 1pm and 3pm. For more information call 920-386-3580.
