ADRC Hosting Dementia Caregiving Conference

(Juneau)  The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Dodge County will be hosting a free Dodge County Dementia Caregiving Conference.  The conference titled “A Roadmap to a Stronger Tomorrow” will feature talks from several different experts in the areas of Dementia and Alzheimer’s.  A few of the 9 featured speakers at the event include former Wisconsin Governor Martin Schreiber, author of My Two Elaines and a crusader for Alzheimer’s caregivers; Dacy Reimer, a board-certified Nurse Practitioner who specializes in neurology and movement disorders; and Susan H. McFadden Ph.D. co-founder of the Fox Valley Memory Project and a UW Oshkosh Professor of Psychology.

Attendees to this free event can attend talks on various topics including, Dementia Friendly Communities and Memory Cafe’s, Engagement through Objects and Conversation, and Driving and Dementia.

The event will be held Thursday October 25th at the Henry Dodge Office Building in Juneau Wisconsin.  The event is free but registration is required.  Register online by visiting
