7/7/11 – Washington County authorities have identified the 51-year-old man killed late Tuesday night after apparently driving his car into a passing train north of Allenton. Officials say Todd Lundeen of the Town of Addison was traveling westbound on County Highway DW when he may have intentionally driven into a rail car. His vehicle left the road and rolled onto its roof. Authorities say it does not appear the driver slowed down prior to hitting the empty tanker, which was the 34th of 141 rail cars. The train traveled several miles before coming to a stop near Theresa after a passenger informed the train conductor of the sparks coming from underneath the train. The incident is still under investigation
