Abel Commits To Michigan Tech

Beaver Dam High School Nate Abel verbally committed to play college basketball at NCAA Division Two Michigan Tech on Saturday.  He led the Badger North in scoring last year as a junior at just over 21 points per game and was a 1st team all-league selection as the young Beaver Dam squad finished 11-13 overall and in 6th place in the Badger North last season.  He was an Honorable Mention All-State pick in Division Two by the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association.

Michigan Tech went 23-8 last season, which was good for a third place finish in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.  The Huskies earned a trip to the NCAA Midwest Regional by winning the conference tournament, but never got to play because COVID-19 cancelled the event.
