BD Football Travels To Baraboo Tonight.

The Beaver Dam High School football team heads to Baraboo tonight for their final non-conference tune-up of the season.   Both the Golden Beavers and Thunderbirds will be looking for their first win off the season after dropping their season openers last week.

Beaver Dam was blanked by defending Rock Valley Conference champ Monroe 39-0 last week at HH Derleth Field.   Bradyn Strachota had a team high 44 yards on the ground while Aiden Root and Camron Mendoza each ran for 37 yards in the game.  Defensively Easton Able had nine tackles and a fumble recovery.

Baraboo dropped a 23-13 decision at Sauk Prairie in their season opener last week.  QB Luke Vittengl threw for 136 yards and a TD in the loss.

These two teams last met on September 19th, 2019 at Derleth Field in what turned out to be a record setting 35-14 win for the Beavers.  QB Carter Riesen threw for 345 yards and 4 TDs.  Zach Schoenberger caught six passes for 172 yards while Broden Boschert hauled in five passes for 132 yards and four TDs.

Tonight’s game kicks off at 7pm.  You can hear the game on 1430 ESPN Beaver Dam.  The John Deere Pregame Show is set for 6:45pm.   DailyDodge TV is now allowed to broadcast the game because the Baraboo School District has an exclusive deal with another company.
