(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 1,606 positive coronavirus cases in Sunday’s daily update. There are 26,139 active cases in the state, a decrease of 684 from Saturday. Active cases make up five-percent of the 521-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 490-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded one death bringing that total to 5,451. Deaths account for one-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the two-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 394-thousand people were from the United States.
Dodge County has experienced 129 deaths and 10,919 cases, a one-day increase of 20 positive tests. The county had 46 negative tests returned for a running total of 37,788.
Washington County has seen 108 deaths along with 12,813 cases to date.
Fond du Lac County has 73 deaths with 11,169 positive tests on record.
The state says Jefferson County has reported 63 deaths and 7,219 cases to date.
Columbia County recorded one death for a total 37 and 4,615 positive tests.
Green Lake County has 14 deaths with 1,445 cases on record, 44 cases have been reported in the last two weeks.
