(Juneau) The Joint Conference of Extension Professionals recently honored 4-H educator Marie Witzel for 25 years of dedication and service to the Wisconsin 4-H program. Witzel has focused her career at the University of Wisconsin Extension office across four counties, helping to create and maintain programs in the areas of volunteer development, youth leadership development, and organizational development. In her 25 years Witzel has served in a number of capacities, including as a senator in faculty governance, as a member of department and faculty tenure review committees, as well as a member of the Wisconsin Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals where she served on it’s board of directors and most recently as president. Witzel was honored at a Joint Conference of Extension Professionals event held in Stevens Point Wisconsin back in April of 2019.
