Waupun Hospital Receives Pathway To Excellence

(Waupun) For the third time, Waupun Memorial Hospital has achieved the Pathway to Excellence designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.  First receiving this honor in 2013, Waupun Memorial became the first health care provider in the region, and one of only two providers in the state, to receive the prestigious designation.  This global credential highlights Waupun Memorial Hospital’s commitment to providing a health work environment where nurses can feel empowered and valued, making nurses an integral part of the health care team with a voice in policy and practice.

DeAnn Thurmer, President and Chief Nursing Officer at Ripon Medical Center and Waupun Memorial Hospital, commented on the designation saying “receiving this designation for a third consecutive time is an outstanding achievement for Waupun Memorial Hospital, our nurses and the community as a whole.  She continues saying the honor demonstrates their “commitment to quality care for their patients, and to the nurses, those individuals dedicated to providing the personal touch to our patients each and every day.”

Founded in 1951, Waupun Memorial Hospital offers a wide array of quality inpatient and outpatient health care services for families throughout Waupun and the surrounding areas.
