11-Year-Old Dies In Hunting-Related Incident In Green Lake County

(Seneca) An 11-year-old boy was killed in a hunting-related incident in Green Lake County Sunday morning. It happened in the township of Seneca just after 9am.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says a 41-year-old male shooter attempted to unload his firearm while it was placed in the back seat of a vehicle. The firearm discharged, striking the victim in the chest. The boy was flown by Med Flight to a hospital where he died from his injuries.

Officials say the victim and the shooter were members of the same hunting party.
