The Randolph girls basketball team heads to Hilbert on Thursday night for a WIAA Division 5 Sectional Semifinal matchup with Oakfield.
The Rockets (27-0) blew through their Regional with wins over Wayland Academy 975-330, Hustisford (60-40) and Sheboygan Lutheran 69-49. Jorey Buwalda leads the Rockets in scoring (20.6) and rebounding (9.5) per game.
Oakfield (22-5) won the Trailways East with a perfect 12-0 record. Their path to the Regional championship included wins over Sheboygan Christian (72-29), Hilbert (70-48) and Lourdes Academy (50-45). The Oaks have their players that average in double figures led by Stella Hofman at 13.3 points per game. Adi Moser (12.8) and Jaylin Gremminger (10.8) also lead the in the box score.
Randolph blew by Oakfield 73-39 on January 15th in a Trailways Conference cross-over matchup.
The winner of Thursday night’s contest will face either Albany or Argyle in the Sectional Final on Saturday at Central Wisconsin Christian High School in Waupun.
