(Beaver Dam) A historic Beaver Dam home has found a new purpose. The Seippel Homestead on North Spring Street had been the longtime location of the Beaver Dam Area Arts Association, which moved downtown over the summer. Now the space will be home to the Seippel Center for Music and the Arts. Retired Beaver Dam High School music teacher Rich Zeman will serve as the center’s music director. He says the center will be a one-stop-shop for music lovers. Music teachers will be able to rent spaces for lessons and the center will help connect the tutors with students. The center will also look to host events as well as a summer concert series. Zeman will join us WBEV’s Community Comment Thursday along with members of the Seippel family.
