12/31/17 – Vehicle sales in Dodge County for the first eleven months of the year outpaced last year’s numbers. According to figures released by the Waterloo-based industry tracking firm Reg-Trak, there were 15-thousand-500 trucks sold in Dodge County from January through November, an increase of seven-percent. At the same time, there were 689 cars sold, a decrease of over seven-percent. Overall, sales were up just under four-percent to around 33-hundred vehicles. In Columbia County, there were 25-hundred vehicle sales through last month for an increase of over 10-percent. Truck sales were up 16-percent while car sales were down eight-percent. Jefferson County also saw just over 25-hundred car and light trucks roll off dealer lots, an increase of around two-percent. For the nine-county, south-central Wisconsin region as a whole, there were 44-thousand vehicle sales over the eleven-month period, an increase of nearly six-percent. Car sales were down slightly at 12-thousand-700 while truck sales were up by over eight-percent to 31-thousand sold.
