WisDOT Hosting Public Meeting To Discuss Columbus Road Project

(Columbus) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will hold a public involvement meeting to discuss planned improvements to WIS 89 between Avalon Road and Park Avenue in Columbus. The proposed improvements are designed to replace the existing pavement, improve intersections, upgrade existing sanitary/water main lines, upgrade storm sewer system, upgrade lighting, and upgrade signing and pavement marking. Construction is scheduled to start in the summer of 2022.  The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project.  Maps showing the proposed improvements will be on display. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the proposed project and address questions or concerns.  The meeting will be held on October 17, 2018 starting at 5:30pm at the Columbus High School multi-purpose room.  WisDOT representatives will give a brief presentation starting at 6pm.
