(Milwaukee) A probable case of West Nile virus has been identified in Milwaukee, where the health department believes there are other people who are infected. Angie Hagy is with the Milwaukee Health Department says most people who are infected don’t even realize it – but for some the virus can be deadly. She says there are those who can get really sick and roughly one in 150 people can get severe inflammation in the brain or in the spinal cord. The virus is spread by mosquitoes. Due to the recent heavy rains in Dodge County, the region has seen a significant increase in mosquitoes.
