Wilson Recommended As New Clearview Director

(Juneau) The Dodge County Board’s Health Facilities Committee Wednesday recommended a new executive director at Clearview Nursing and Rehabilitation. Dodge County Administrator Jim Mielke says Deanna Wilson has been tabbed as the next Clearview Administrator. Wilson has been a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Wisconsin since 2000 and has 21-years of management experience in long term care, assisted living and memory care. Her professional background also includes nursing and teaching experience. Jane Hooper, who had been in the position since 2005, announced in July she will be retiring at the end of the year. Hooper’s last day on the job comes just two days after Wilson is scheduled to start on January 2. Mielke says he is not concerned with the short overlap due to Wilson’s experience and the strong administrative staff at Clearview. Wilson’s salary is $135-thousand which is an hourly rate of $64.90. The Health Facilities and Labor Negotiation Committees set the negotiation parameters and provided authority to the Human Resources Director and Mielke to negotiate Wilson’s salary. Mielke says the figure is higher than what Hooper is currently earning but based on market and based on discussions with the two committees that is where authorization was given and that is what the proposed starting salary will be for this position. The county board will vote on the hire during next week’s meeting.
