Weather Leads To Motor Vehicle Accidents In Dodge County

(Dodge County) There were several weather-related weekend incidents in Dodge County. That includes six collisions – three with injuries – and eleven runoffs. One person was seriously injured early Saturday morning in a single vehicle accident in the Town of Hubbard. A 26-year-old Muskego woman failed to stop at the stop sign, crossed both lanes of traffic and crashed into a large tree. The driver was apparently ejected from the vehicle which burst into flames. She was taken by Flight for Life to Aurora Summit Hospital with serious injuries. Alcohol is believed to be a factor. A van owned by a Milwaukee staffing agency ran-off County Road E in the Town of Beaver Dam Saturday afternoon. All nine passengers claimed injury and sought treatment at Beaver Dam Community Hospital on their own. Saturday evening, 54-year-old Rebecca Brodell of Iron Ridge was transported to Columbus Hospital after she drove into a tree on State Highway 16 in the Town of Elba. On Friday afternoon, a car crashed through the ice on Beaver Dam Lake near Skunk Island. Nathan Biel and his dog were rescued from the roof of the submerged vehicle by the Beaver Dam Fire Department’s hovercraft. The 43-year-old Randolph man was assessed at the Edgewater Park landing and released.
