Wayfinding Signs Coming To Beaver Dam

(Beaver Dam) People will soon be seeing wayfinding signs in Beaver Dam. One of the items approved as part of the 2019 budget was $10-thousand dollars for the installation of signage that directs people to certain landmarks in the city. Mayor Becky Glewen says officials with the state Economic Development Corporation first pointed out the lack of signage popular in other communities when they were in the city for work on downtown revitalization grants. She says while private businesses will not be included on the signage, there should be directions to schools, popular non-profit destinations and municipal buildings and landmarks. Glewen says an ad hoc committee comprised of elected officials and members of the public will likely be assembled to determine the best locations to list on the wayfinding signs. No word yet on when the signs will be installed.
