Waupun Man Makes Initial Appearance On Child Porn Charges

(Waupun) Cash bond was set at $5,000 dollars for a Waupun man found with explicit images of minors. Timothy Hilt was in court for his initial appearance Monday on ten felony counts of Possession of Child Pornography. In May, officers received a tip from an online watch dog service that an IP address allegedly belonging to Hilt downloaded pictures that were suggestive in nature. In speaking with police, Hilt consented to a search of his computer which reportedly uncovered hundreds of images of child porn. If convicted, the 53-year-old faces a combined maximum of 250 years in prison. A judge will decide next week if there is enough evidence to order a trial.
