Waupun Man Charged In Drunk Driving Injury Accident

2/28/17 – A Waupun man is facing felony charges for injuring himself and a passenger in a drunk driving accident. Donovan Bostwick is charged with Operating While Intoxicated Causing Injury and Operating With a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration Causing Injury, both second offenses. The accident happened in October on State Highway 49. The 22-year-old rolled his vehicle four times into a farm field. Bostwick suffered broken ribs and vertebrae while passenger was treated and released for scratches and bruising. He allegedly had a blood alcohol level that was over twice the legal limit for driving at point one-nine (.19). If convicted, the charges carry a maximum six-year prison sentence. Bostwick will make his initial appearance in a Dodge County courtroom next month.
