Waupun Man Accused Of Fleeing From Police

7/11/17 – A Waupun man is accused of running from police over the weekend. Jordan Foster is charged with felony Fleeing as well as misdemeanor charges of Resisting and Obstructing an Officer, Possession of THC, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Early Sunday morning, a Waupun police officer clocked a sedan travelling 20 miles-per-hour over the speed limit. When the officer activated his emergency lights the vehicle did not stop. The car eventually pulled into a driveway in the 400 block of West Main Street where two occupants exited and fled on foot. Foster was apprehended a short time later and officers detected a strong odor of intoxicants. The passenger was not located. Foster had a preliminary breath reading of point-zero-eight-eight (.088). Authorities reportedly uncovered several 12-ounce cans of beer, drug paraphernalia, and a substance believed to be marijuana in the 19-year-old’s car. If convicted, Foster faces nearly five years in prison. A signature bond was set at $1,000 dollars and preliminary hearing is on the calendar for next month.
