Watertown Man Found Guilty Of Stealing From Friends House

4/1/17 – A Watertown man was in court for his plea hearing yesterday on charges he stole from a friend’s house. Charles Schmidt pled no contest and was found guilty of one felony count of Burglary of a Building or Dwelling. In February of 2016, Schmidt climbed through the home’s window while his friend was at work and took a video game system. Soon after, the 22-year-old posted on Facebook that he was selling the same system. The parties involved will schedule a sentencing hearing by phone at a later date.
