Volunteers Sought For Red Kettle Campaign In Beaver Dam

(Beaver Dam) The Noon Kiwanis Club of Beaver Dam is looking for volunteers to ring bells during this year’s Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign. During the annual effort, volunteers collect funds outside of a number of area businesses, including Shopko, Piggly Wiggly, Rechek’s Food Pride, Fleet Farm and Walmart. The Kiwanis are looking for people to sign up for two-hour shifts during 14 days of ringing between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Roughly 90-percent of the proceeds stay in Dodge County to help those in need locally. Campaign Co-Chair Jack Hankes says the rest of the money goes toward state projects such as disaster services and a drug treatment center.

Kiwanis will also be collecting donations at this year’s 10th Annual Red Kettle Concert. The concert will start at 4pm on Sunday, December 2nd at the Beaver Dam High School. Those interested in signing up can call 920-885-5813 or 920-344-2837. People can visit VolunteerDodge.net to see what shifts are available.
