Vehicle Sales In The Region Outpacing Last Years Numbers

11/24/17 – Vehicle sales in the region are outpacing last year’s numbers. According to the Waterloo-based industry tracking firm Reg-Trak, in Dodge County there have been 2980 motor vehicle sales in the first ten months of this year, an increase of four-percent from the 2860 sold by this time last year. Car sales were down nearly six-percent to 644 while truck sales were up seven-percent to over 2330. In Columbia County, vehicle sales were up nearly 12-percent to 2293. Jefferson County had 800 vehicles roll off dealer lots, an increase of two-percent. For the nine-county, south central Wisconsin region as a whole, there was 39,917 vehicles sold, an increase of six-percent from the 37,674 that moved last year. Car sales were down slightly at 11,674 while truck sales were up around nine-percent to 28,263.
