Vehicle Sales In Region Are Up When Compared To Last Year

(Dodge County) Year-to-date vehicle sales in the region are up when compared to this time last year. According to the Waterloo-based industry tracking firm Reg Trak, there have been a total of 916 car and light truck sales in Dodge County in the first three months of 2019, 114 more than last year or an increase of 14.2-percent. Car sales were actually down four-percent while truck sales were up 17-percent. In Columbia County, auto sales saw a slight decrease at a half-percent with 638 vehicles rolling off dealer lots through the end of March. Car sales in Columbia County were down 30-percent while truck sales were up over six-percent. Jefferson County dealers sold 677 vehicles, which was 70 more than they did last year by this time for an increase of 11-percent. Car sales in Jefferson County were up five-percent while truck sales also saw an uptick of 13-percent. For the nine-county, South Central Wisconsin Region, there were just over eleven-thousand vehicles sold, close to 600 more than by this time last year,  a five-percent increase. Truck sales in the region were up ten-percent while car sales decreased by eight-percent.
