(Beaver Dam) A benefit scheduled next month will aid a local group that offers confidential support, guidance and education to women who are going through the challenges of a pregnancy. All proceeds of the event will go to the Pregnancy Support Center of Dodge County. The non-profit organization started in 2011 and serves all residents and neighboring communities in the county. Kathy Huizenga with Pregnancy Support Center of Dodge County says items that will be auctioned off live include sports memorabilia, hand crafted items and art. A silent auction will also be held that will offer themed baskets for men and women. A buffet catered by Edith’s will be served and there will also be testimonies from individuals who have experienced the services provided by the Pregnancy Support Center of Dodge County. The keynote speaker is Krys Crawley who is the director of the center. Marcia Decker says the funds raised through events like these go a long way to helping people in need. The benefit will take place on September 22 from 5pm to 9pm at the Watermark located at South Center Street in Beaver Dam. Tickets can be purchased online at www.pscdcsupport.com. An individual entrance price will cost $40, a couple is $75 while a table of eight will run $280.
