Two Injured In Clyman Deck Collapse

6/19/17 – Two people were seriously injured when a deck collapsed over the weekend in Clyman. The incident happened just before 9am Saturday at a private residence at 962 Main Street above Mercer T’s Bar and Grill. Sheriff Dale Schmidt says a 46-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man walked out on the deck and it collapsed under them with both falling onto the concrete driveway below. Both were said to be conscious and alert. The woman was transported to Beaver Dam Community Hospital with serious injuries before being flown to Aurora Summit. The male was immediately flown by Flight For Life to Aurora Summit, also with serious injuries. The building owner says the deck had been inspected two years ago. Flight For Life was called out to Dodge County for a second time about one hour later when a tree limb fell on a person on Highway 67 in the Town of Hubbard. We don’t have a lot of details but we are told the injuries were not life threatening.
