Two Columbus Residents Injured In Highway 151 Wreck

5/1/17 – Two 68-year-old Columbus residents were injured when a semi clipped the back end of their pickup truck on Highway 151 in the Town of Calamus late Friday night. Dodge County Sheriff’s officials say both vehicles were southbound when the front of the semi struck the pickup causing it to go off the road and overturn in a ditch. Both the driver of the pickup, Hans Kubik, and his passenger Mary Larson were taken to Beaver Dam Community Hospital before later being transferred to UW-Hospital in Madison. Kubik was flown by helicopter and Larson was transported by ambulance. The semi driver, 53-year-old John Lighthart of Rockford, Illinois was not injured in the crash.
