Two Charged In Connection With Lebanon Murder

(Town of Lebanon) Two people have been charged in connection with a murder last month in the Town of Lebanon. Twenty-year-old Nigel Schultz of Portage is facing First Degree Intentional Homicide charges while 32-year-old Rebecca Wolc of Beaver Dam is charged with Harboring Or Aiding A Felon. Bradlee Gerke of Beaver Dam was found dead at the scene where the murder occurred at N901 Redwing Road. The property owner called authorities on Halloween reporting that there could be a body in his cow pasture. He told explained that his daughter identified the suspect as Schultz, who is her boyfriend. According to the criminal complaint, investigators found burned grass with spots of blood and part of a skull; Gerke’s body was found in a shallow grave in a nearby tree line covered in gasoline. Schultz was taken into custody on a parole violation at the Lakecrest Apartments in Beaver Dam. He initially maintained that Wolc shot the victim and he only stole his phone and Food Share Card. Schultz later allegedly confessed to shooting Gerke in the back of the head with a 38-Derringer and then with a .22-rifle multiple times in the head and body. Gerke was shot ten times in the back of his head and six times in the chest. He said Wolc witnessed the murder. Schultz and Wolc are scheduled to make their initial appearances in a Dodge County courtroom Wednesday afternoon.
