Trial For Friesland Murder Suspect Delayed

(Friesland) A two-week jury trial for a Friesland murder suspect was postponed Friday. Kevin Karl Krueger is facing four felony charges in Columbia County including First Degree Intentional Homicide, Possession of a Firearm By a Convicted Felon, Possession of Narcotic Drugs and Stalking Resulting in Bodily Harm. The defendant was given a three weeks to mull over a possible plea deal offered by the state. Krueger reportedly claimed he does not remember shooting his estranged wife to death at a hotel in February of 2016. The 54-year-old allegedly stole a shotgun from a friend and used it to kill 41-year-old Tracy Krueger at the Ridge Motor Inn in Portage. A February 15 deadline is set on the matter and the jury trial is moved from April to September.
