4/19/17 – The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says that threats were made to the Waupun High School via social media. It happened late Monday night and into the early morning hours yesterday. Two students were messaging through Snap Chat when a Waupun-area teen sent the message wishing to do harm to the school. The other student in the exchange was concerned and sought help. Police located the student at home, interviewed him and determined a threat did take place though the means to carry out the threat was not substantiated. School Superintendent Tonya Gubin says that the student has been placed on an out-of-school suspension pending the investigation and is not allowed on school grounds until further notice. She says that all school activities have resumed as normal but classroom doors are being locked and tighter restrictions are being placed on the time students have in the halls.
