(Dodge County) A multijurisdictional drug task force that the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is part of was recently awarded funds from the Department of Justice. The South East Area Drug Operations Group which includes sheriff’s offices from Kenosha, Racine, Walworth, Jefferson and Dodge County was given $50,000. Attorney General Josh Kaul says these funds will help law enforcement officers who are working to fight drug trafficking. Kaul adds that it is important to ensure that investigators have the resources they need to dismantle drug-trafficking organizations. Multijurisdictional enforcement groups enhance interagency coordination, share intelligence and facilitate investigations focused on drug trafficking.
