Snowstorm Results In Multiple Traffic Accidents

3/2/17 – The most recent round of snowstorms resulted in several traffic mishaps. In Dodge County, there were 13 runoffs reported yesterday and 11 car accidents, including two injury accidents. One motorist was transported after a vehicle drove into a creek in the Town of Oak Grove yesterday morning around 10am. Another motorist was transported in a two-vehicle accident early this morning in the Town of Theresa. The wreck occurred around 4:15am on Highway 33. Hartford and Fond du Lac each had six inches while the Madison area had around five inches, and most other parts of the state had smaller amounts. Seven inches of snow fell in Sheboygan Wednesday, which may have been to blame for the death of an 85-year-old Cedar Grove woman in a head on car crash. Deputies say it was snowing heavily when the woman’s car crossed a centerline and hit an oncoming auto about nine a-m Wednesday on Highway 32 near Sheboygan Falls in the town of Lima. Both drivers were taken to a hospital, where the Cedar Grove woman died and a 70-year-old Hingham woman was being treated for undisclosed injuries.
