Six Price County Plane Crash Victims Identified

7/4/17 – Sheriff’s deputies in far northern Wisconsin have released the names of six people killed in a plane crash at Catawba in Price County. Two father/son pairs were among those who died; 56-year-old Thomas Demauro and his 21-year-old son Kyle and 69-year-old Charles Tomlitz and his 45-year-old son George. The other two victims were identified as 70-year-old Kevin King and 63-year-old James Francis. All were from suburban Chicago except for Francis, who was from Norco, California. Relatives on Facebook confirmed the father/son relationships. The crash happened early Saturday morning close to Highways 111 and Eight. Officials said the plane lost altitude, possibly due to weather activity. The group left Chicago for a fishing trip in Canada. The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.
