(Beaver Dam) The public will have an opportunity to visit the new Seippel Center for Music and the Arts this week. For years the Seippel Homestead on North Spring Street housed the Beaver Dam Area Arts Association, but that group recently moved downtown and changed its name. The new Seippel Center for Music acts as a hub linking teachers with students and will also be hosting concerts. The Center’s Music Director Rich Zeman says Wednesday’s open house will give the community a chance to see the changes undertaken at the Seippel Homestead. He says refinished furnishings of the Seippel family from the 40’s and 50’s have been added as well as new music décor, Wi-Fi and high-end instruments. Zeman says the Seippel family is excited that the building has been transformed into a community center for music and art. The Seippel Center for Music and the Arts open house will be this Wednesday from 4pm until 7pm. To learn more visit www.theseippelcenter.org.
