(Herman) A second man is facing charges in Dodge County court for his alleged role in an armed burglary in the town of Herman. 37-year-old Robert Couch of Kenosha is slated to make his initial appearance next month on a felony count of Armed Burglary with a Dangerous Weapon as a Party to a Crime. 28-year-old Travis White of Chicago was previously charged with the felony Armed Burglary. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office issued a press release last month with photos of two suspects and a vehicle believed to be involved in several residential burglaries. Through tips, law enforcement was able to identify one of the individuals in the photo as the owner of the car. On August 24, a sheriff’s deputy took reports of a suspicious vehicle seen on County Highway DW that matched their description. Law enforcement later spotted the vehicle parked in a driveway at a residence on Madison Road in the town of Herman. The car began backing out of the property and a high-risk traffic stop was conducting. Couch was allegedly the driver and complied with commands to exit the vehicle and was placed under arrest. When deputies arrived back at the residence to search for other suspects, White was located and arrested. Following a body search a loaded handgun was reportedly found near his waistline. Nobody was home at the time of the incident and the property owner later said that many of the items inside were staging pieces that did not belong to him because the house was for sale. In talking with investigators White allegedly said he entered the home because a family member had come into a serious debt problem and needed money or items to clear the debt.
